   Parents of Bay City ISD elementary students can register their children for afterschool care online now.    Afterschool care will be available for children in pre-kindergarten-fifth grade at Cherry, Linnie Roberts, and Tenie Holmes elementary campuses.

   Bay City and Palacios December sales tax rebates were higher than the same month last year.     Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar said he sent cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for December, 2.

Arson suspected for fire at old Masonic Lodge

   Bay City Police Sgt. James Philp was on patrol on Ave F. at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, and identified smoke coming from the old Masonic Lodge, 3404 Ave F.    Philp and additional officers investigated and discovered an open door at the back section of the building.

   Precinct 4 Commissioner Bubba Frick said a road use agreement approved Monday, Dec. 4, addresses damage to county roads by heavy trucks.      The court approved a road use and road repair agreement with Eldora Energy, which intends to use County Road 411 – Buckeye – El Maton Road.
