6 charged with migratory songbird trafficking

    AUSTIN— This week, a federal grand jury returned indictments charging six Cuban nationals from Houston with illegal trafficking of migratory songbirds, violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Lacey Act.     The joint investigation led by the U.S.

Labor Day closings 

   Labor Day celebrations and closures fall on Monday, Sept. 4 this year.    All federal, county, and city offices will be closed for Labor Day.    The United States Postal Service and banking institutions will also be closed Monday.
