Bay City responds to 2 house fires in 1day

   Bay City Volunteer Fire Department (BCVFD), the Bay City Fire Marshal, and the Bay City Police Department (BCPD) were sent to a house on fire at 4 Shadow Lane shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15.     A local resident notified the 9-1-1 dispatcher of heavy grey smoke coming from the home.

"Bay City loses area playoff to Kilgore; Jones salutes seniors" by: Mike Reddell

   The Bay City Blackcats ended their 2023 season with an area playoff round loss to the Kilgore Bulldogs 37-28 at Sheldon ISD Stadium Friday, Nov. 17.    The game capped the Blackcats’ 8-4, 4-2 record this year – a second-place finish in District 12-4A-1 and another trip to the playoffs.

Officer’s car rear ended by drunk driver    Policeman Tim Helton patrol car was rear ended in the 4900 Block of Avenue F Sunday, Nov. 12, shortly after 4 a.m.    Helton was on patrol when he notified dispatch that his unit was struck by another vehicle.
