   Cotton farmers Paul Sliva and Carey Orsak were busy last week picking cotton on acreage north of Bay City.    “We’re not doing as well as last year,” Sliva said in an interview at the acreage that Orsak owns off Chalmers Road but picked by both farmers.

BCPD arrests 3 after high-speed chase

   Bay City police arrested three Palacios men on several charges after a high-speed chase from Bay City to El Campo, Bay City police reported.     The episode began when Officer Tristan Trevino of was dispatched to 1930 Post Oak Way in reference to a suspicious circumstance at about 3:50 p.m.
