Bay City Volunteer Fire Department:    On April 21, at 8:28 a.m., Bay City Volunteer Fire Department responded to an electrical fire at the 2900 block of 4th Street.    On April 14, at 10:46 a.m., Bay City Volunteer Fire Department responded to a wash down at the 2700 block of Nichols.

   Commissioners Court members indicated their pleasure in approving a Texas Department of Transportation program to replace or improve four “structurally deficient and functionally obsolete” bridges on public roads, at the court’s meeting Monday, April 17.

   Bay City’s April sales tax allocation from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar was up from the same month last week.    Hegar recently announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $977.2 million in local sales tax allocations for April, 12.
