   Tidehaven High School graduated 60 students during its commencement ceremony at Delvin Taska Stadium, Friday, May 19.    Following the graduate student processional, Karleigh Cheek led the invocation.

Gray, Jr., and Priscilla Robinson were honored for their commitment to Bay City ISD and their service as educators at BCISD's annual Employee Appreciation Banquet last Thursday. Gray was represented by his wife Jeanne, center, for the award, with Bay City ISD Trustee President Jill Westmoreland and Trustee Trent Tinnin, back.

   Bay City ISD hosted its annual ‘Employee Appreciation Banquet’ last week honoring educators and staff across the district.    This year’s theme was “We’re Lucky to Have You” and featured a casino motif – including a few game tables for teachers to try their luck and win prizes.

   Van Vleck ISD trustees unanimously chose to hire Christie Dement as the new Superintendent of Schools during their regular meeting Monday night.    All board members were present for the meeting.    Dement was named as the lone finalist for superintendent at the board’s April meeting.

   Commissioners Court approved a revised Matagorda County subdivision policy and accepted eight petitions for abandoning rights of way in Matagorda, at the court’s meeting May 15.    There was little discussion on the revised subdivision policy approval that followed a brief public hearing.

   A total of 60 students will graduate from Tidehaven High School starting at 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Delvin Taska Memorial Stadium.    Students are estimated to have earned $300,000 in various scholarships to pursue their continuing education.
