The 2022 Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Man of the Year is former County Judge and Wellness Matagorda founder Loy Sneary.    Founding member of the Bay City Education Foundation Elizabeth Hewitt is the 2022 Woman of the Year.

Phillips 66 gives $26,000 for East Matagorda Bay Wetlands Project

   SWEENY – Phillips 66 recently contributed $26,000 to the Matagorda Bay Foundation for its East Matagorda Bay Wetlands Project in partnership with Texas A&M University and the AgriLife Research Station.

Boys & Girls Club to close its doors Jan. 27

   The Boys & Girls Club of Bay City and Matagorda County will close its doors on Jan. 27.    Board members of the club voted 11-2 at a special meeting on January 9 to begin the process of dissolving the organization.
