Bay City Police Department was sent to an ordinance violation, illegal burning at 2908 Pershing, at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 3. Prior to arrival, dispatch received additional calls indicating the fire had caught the back yard on fire and was growing in size.

Bay City Community Development Corporation board members unanimously approved two $5,000 website grants during their regular meeting Monday afternoon.    All board members were present except Floyce Brown.    The website grants went to both Fat Grass Restaurant and Coastal Bend Juniors respectively.

The proclamation recognized Wednesday, March 29, as Vietnam War Veterans Day and invited the public to the ceremonies and programs on May 13 to show gratitude to the Vietnam veterans and their families.
