City: Faucet running caused low pressure

   The hard freeze that struck Matagorda County Dec. 22-24 resulted in low water pressure from people running their faucets, according to an alert issued by the City of Bay City Saturday, Dec. 24.

   Unofficially, Matagorda County has 214 bird species reported for the Annual National Audubon Matagorda County Mad Island Marsh Christmas Bird Count (CBC) Monday, Dec. 19.    That number awaits verification for four rare or uncommon birds before becoming official sometime next year.
