   After minimal discussion, BCISD board members unanimously approved a 5% raise for all district employees during the board’s regular meeting Monday, June 6.    That raise adds $1,274,583 to the budget for fiscal year 2022-2023.    All school board trustees were present for the meeting.

     Bay City Police hostage negotiators were called to what initially was thought could be a hostage situation near Nichols and Skelly roads June 2.    Hostage negotiators were called to the scene to help, police said..

   The Community Actors of South Texas have their first showing of “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, June 17-18.    Additional showcases are at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, and 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, June 23-25, at the CAST building, 920 Nichols Avenue in Bay City.
