Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) announced his bill, H.R. 2071, the Save Our Shrimpers Act, passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 391-18-1 last week.

The June 13 Runoff Election will be a tight race for Place 1 on Bay City City Council – the May 2 election ended with eight-vote difference - and several top statewide races.  In Place 1 City Council race, Cory McCray received 239 votes for 44.67%, while Stacy L. Rowh had 231 votes, 43.18%.
