   Over 100 Matagorda County residents attended the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) “Bay City Relief Route Feasibility Study” last Thursday.  The public meeting was held in person on Feb. 19 and will be available virtually until Friday, March 6.

   Early voting for the 2026 Primary Election got underway Tuesday, Feb. 17.  Another upcoming election date is Friday, Feb. 20 - last day counties can receive mail-in requests.  The Primary Election will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

   Over 20 countywide professionals were recognized at the third annual “Leaders under 40” luncheon, Thursday, Feb. 12.  Many were recognized not only for their career skills, but also for their volunteer services and assorted community contributions.
