Tres Palacios Creek water quality training set April 16

   A Texas Watershed Steward workshop on the Tres Palacios Creek watershed will be April 16 in Bay City.  The free event will be at the Matagorda Fair Grounds Multipurpose Building, 2604 Nichols Ave, from 1-5 p.m. and is open to anyone interested in improving the region’s water quality.

Car crashes into building

   A car crashed through an Avenue F building injuring two people – one of them seriously – at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, Bay City police reported.   Police responded to a call in reference to a major crash at the 4300 block of Ave. F.

"County hears rail link proposal, vessel turn in" by: Mike Reddell

   Union Pacific (UP) and LyondellBasell representatives gave a brief update on a proposed rail link at Commissioners Court’s regular meeting Monday, when the Matagorda County Youth Leadership Class also was introduced.  The new rail connection between UP and LyondellBasell would be 4.
