2 seek open council post, join 3 incumbents for May 3 election

   Filings for the May 3 city election are complete – for the mayor and three city council places.   Two candidates, Cory McCray and Susan Reardon, have filed for the open Position 4 seat, vacated by Becca Sitz, who is term-limited.  They join incumbent Mayor Robert K.

   City council held its first charter workshop in over a year on Monday night.  Council members present included Becca Sitz, Blayne Finlay, Jim Folse, and Bradley Westmoreland with Ben Flores absent at the Feb. 10 meeting.

Bay City man arrested for drugs, human smuggling

    A 21-year-old Bay City was arrested on charges that included possession of a controlled substance and a Val Verde County felony warrant for human struggling, Bay City Police said.  Bay City Police Department Narcotics Division and police patrol officers executed a search warrant, at a 1500 Ave.
