   Blackcat Head Coach Robert Jones noted Bay City produced on all three phases of football to trounce the Edna Cowboys 42-14 there Friday night, Sept. 5.  “We dominated the game in all three phases from start to finish,” Jones said.

   Bay City Blackcats got their 2025 season off to a great start with a convincing 48-14 win over Sweeny last Friday at Memorial Stadium.  “We are a younger team this year, and had a slow start. Once the team got comfortable, great plays happened,” said Blackcat Head Coach Robert Jones.

"Tidehaven storms past Palacios 72-0 to start season" by: Mike Reddell

   Tidehaven routed Palacios Friday by a score of 72-0 to launch the Tigers 2025 season.  “Our boys played great. I was pleased with the level of sharpness we played with considering it was our first game and we only had one scrimmage,” said Tidehaven Head Coach David Lucio.

   Van Vleck Head Coach Shannon Permenter said the 48-13 loss to Ganado last Friday was “Definitely a tough loss.   “Ganado played very well and they showed why they’re a defending state champion,” Permenter said.  “We made mistakes that they capitalized on and ran away from us.
