Tidehaven banquet honors athletes
Monday, May 13, was signing day for Bay City High School student athletes Juan Martinez and Ke’Maurion Le’Day who signed the commitments with Cross Country Coach Rilea Sanders and Head Track Coach Robert Jones looking on. Both boys are continuing their education and athletic careers at Texas A&M Kingsville. Martinez will be running cross country and track, while Le’Day will be running track. Two Blackcats sign to become Javelinas
Courtesy BCISD photo The Blackcat 7 on 7 team competed in the La Grange State Qualifying Tournament last week. The team won their pool and went on to beat Hitchcock 42-36, making them a qualifier for the Dave Campbell’s 7 on 7 State Tournament held in College Station.

Bay City High School was represented at the USA Powerlifting meet in San Antonio, by Sha’Nasia Patterson, Camryn Garcia, Samantha Rodriguez and Coach Cierra Bernard. Their scores included: Sha’Nasia (48kg)- 1st place; Camryn (90kg)- 1st place; Samantha (90kg)- 2nd place; Coach Bernard (67.5kg) 1st place.
