Lady Leps at state powerlifting meet

   The following Lady Lep Powerlifters at the State Powerlifting Meet last week and their results included:  Celeste Gutowski 4th place  Ava Cervantes 9th place  Cerenity Gibson 9th place  Nevaeh Mangum 12th place  Hailey Wilkinson 6th place 

VVHS Lady Leps stand 13-2 on season; 5-0 in district

   Van Vleck waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins - but they left with six.   They came out on top in a nail-biter against East Bernard 5-4.

"Tigers edged by Columbus, rout Rice" By Eddie Russell

   The Tigers traveled to Columbus on Tuesday, March 12, and lost 4-3.   TJ Galvan took the loss on the mound, pitching 5 innings, giving up 4 runs only 2 earned.   Ritchie ZGarcia threw a scoreless inning of relief. Leading hitter with 4 hits was Connor Claxton.

"Coach gets win #150; Lady Leps 3-0 in district" by: Randy Lynch

   Coach Rebecca Hanson reached a milestone last Tuesday with her 150th win as Head Coach.   The Van Vleck graduate had been the Head Coach at Van Vleck the last 7 years and 8th overall.

Work on BMX park underway

   Bay City Gas Company and the City of Bay City joined forces to create and build the City’s First BMX Bike Park at City Field, at 3212 Avenue E.   The track features include tabletops, camel backs, single, double and triple jumps, big jumps and skinnies.

   The Tigers traveled to Edna on Tuesday and won by the score of 12-2.    Taking the win on the mound was TJ Galvan.    Leading hitter with 3 hits was Connor Claxton, Kale Russell had 2, and with 1 each, were: Christian Rubio, Cliff Cash, Jachen Duran and TJ Galvan.

Van Vleck Lady Leps begin district defeating Hempstead

   The Lady Leopards softball team opened up district play with a 9-3 win over Hempstead.    Lakyn Matchett picked up the win with 13 strikeouts in 8 innings of work.
