   Tidehaven rolled over Brazos 47-0 in the regional playoff round last Friday, setting up a quarterfinal game with Poth in San Marcos this Friday.    Tidehaven compiled 548 total yards of offense in crushing Brazos, with 288 yards of rushing and 260 yards passing.

  Tidehaven routed Nixon-Smiley 56-8 in their area round of playoffs last week to advance to the regional round against District 14 rival Brazos in Rosharon Friday.    The Brazos game will be at Freedom Field, Rosharon, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25.

   Bay City crushed Yates 57-0 in a rainy and windy bi-district round of the playoffs at Houston, Friday, Nov. 11.     The win puts the Blackcats in the area round of the playoffs where they will face Chapel Hill (9-2, 6-0).     That game will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov.

   For the second straight year, the playoff season was short-lived for the Van Vleck Leopards as the Rogers Eagles con trolled the ground game and clock for a 22-0 win, Friday, Nov. 11, at Navasota’s Rattler Stadium.      Rogers will move on to play the winner of Taft and Comfort in the area round.

Tidehaven wins district

   Tidehaven claimed the District 13-3A-2 Championship with an unbeaten, 6-0 district mark.    Tidehaven defeated Van Vleck 28-14 last Thursday to finish the regular season.    Tidehaven now will play Clifton in the bi-district round at 7 p.m. Thursday in Bastrop’s Memorial Stadium.

   Bay City finished second place in District 12-4A-1 and clinched a playoff berth after beating Stafford 27-20 in Memorial Stadium Friday night, Nov. 4.     Senior running back Ayden Smith ran for three touchdowns and sophomore back Jada Andrews had 96 yards on 22 carries against the Spartans.
