Bay City hosts swim relay invite

   The Blackcat swim team hosted the Bay City Relay Invite here Saturday, Oct. 22.    “We have a small team this year and were missing a few due to the (Lions) parade,” said Head Coach Bob Button.    “We still managed to win a few events and our girls broke a meet record in one,” Button added.

   Bay City High School boys Cross Country team placed first in the district meet Thursday, Oct. 13.    Following suit, the JV boys team also placed first in the district meet.

   Bay City was off this week after a disappointing 37-27 loss to El Campo last Friday.    Bay City (4-3, 1-2) had 377 yards of offense to El Campo’s 365 total yardage.    Sophomore running back Jada Andrews gained 176 yards running and two touchdowns to highlight Bay City’s offense.
