   The Van Vleck Leopards gave their homecoming crowd plenty to cheer for, scoring 31 first-half points en route to a 52-8 win over the Danbury Panthers last Friday night.    With the win, Van Vleck moves to 2-0 in district play with a big test coming this Friday night against the Boling Bulldogs.

     The Tiger JV football team was defeated 32-6 by the East Bernard JV Thursday night.      The offense was led by quarterback Camden Johnson and wide receivers Tj Galvan and CJ Galvan.       We moved the ball all night, but stalled out 3 times inside the East Bernard 5.

   Bay City scored early in the fourth quarter to break a scoreless tie and went on to shut out Brazosport 7-0 there Friday night, Feb. 23.    The win puts the Blackcats (4-1, 1-0) on top, tied with El Campo and Stafford for the District 12-4A-1 lead.

   Tidehaven began District 14-3A-2 play with a convincing 42-21 win over Rice Consolidated at home Friday, Sept. 23.    Tidehaven (3-2, 1-0) joins Boling and Van Vleck atop the district standings.    “We had a number of starters out due to some injuries,” said Head Tiger Coach David Lucio.

   WALLIS – The Van Vleck Leopards and Brazos Cougars began district play with a good ole’ cat fight last Friday night.     Van Vleck started the game battling a case of fumblelitus, coughing up the ball on their first three drives while Brazos turned the turnovers into touchdowns.
