"Blackcats wrap up pre-district with win over Sealy" By Simon DeSoto

   Evenly matched teams met in Bay City’s Memorial Stadium on Friday night and it came down to the last play of the game to decide a winner.    The Blackcats scrapped with a tough Sealy Tiger team for a 22-17 win.

"Tiger JV defeats Industrial 27-12" By Eddie Russell

   The Tidehaven JV football team traveled to Industrial last night and won by the score of 27-12.      Scoring for the Tigers were:  Chad Faas 2 TD catches (71,55) from QB Camden Johnson, Jacob Martinez 2 TD runs (50,62) and Paco Lara was 3-4 on extra points.

"Tidehaven overwhelms Palacios with balanced offense" by: Mike Reddell

  Two Tigers shared quarterbacking for Tidehaven – each throwing two touchdown strikes - as the Tigers dispatched visiting Palacios 42-21 Friday night, Sept. 9.    Tidehaven balanced its offense with 198 yards passing for 192 yards running.
Sentinel Photo/Jessica Shepard Tidehaven Athletic Booster Club inducted Diana Fisher into the Hall of Fame during halftime Friday, Sept. 9. Family members were on hand to receive the plaque in Fisher's stead. Fisher's sporting accomplishments included volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Fisher was also the first female athlete from Tidehaven to qualify at the state track meet throughout her high school career. She also achieved All District in basketball in her sophomore, junior, and senior years.

"Turnovers hurt Blackcats in home opener against Edna" By Simon DeSoto

   Playing their 2022 home opener at Memorial Stadium on Friday night against the Edna Cowboys didn’t turn out the way the Blackcats hoped for.     They lost to the Edna Cowboys by a score of 27-21.     Turnovers and mistakes were the bigger nemesis of the Blackcats.
