             Soccer  Bay City Ladycat Soccer  Bay City Ladycat Soccer defeated Hallettsville 9-1 and Rice Consolidated 9-1 last week and were to play Columbus on Monday, and Palacios Feb. 10.  The girls are 9-5-1 in season play and undefeated 4-0 and first in district play.

Carney named VVISD AD, head football coach

   Van Vleck ISD officially announced Cody Carney as the new VVISD Athletic Director (AD) and Head Football Coach last week.  VVISD trustees made the unanimous decision on Tuesday, January 20.

                 Soccer  Bay City Ladycat Soccer  Bay City Girls Soccer, 7-5-1, 2-0 defeated Calhoun 8-0 in a district match Jan. 22.  The girls were set to Hallettsville Monday – before the winter storm arrived – and will host Rice Consolidates Saturday, Jan. 31.
