Tigers open district play with win over Hallettsville

   The Tigers opened district play at Hallettsville on Tuesday, May 9, and won 10-0 in a five-inning run rule.      Getting the win on the mound was Jordan Duran pitching five shutout innings giving up two hits striking out three.

BCHS boys powerlifting sends 2 to state

   Two Bay City High School boys qualified for state competition in the boys regional powerlifting meet at West Hardin High School March 12.      BCHS state qualifiers are Caden Braford - 220, and Dailynn Hernandez – 308.

   Bay City Ladycats blanked Sweeny 4-0 Saturday, May 5, giving the team its 16th shutout of the season en route to its 19-1-1, 10-0 record Monday, March 7.    In the Sweeny game, the Ladycats did not score until the last 14 minutes.
