Van Vleck wide receiver Kadarius Woodard (14) picks up good yardage in the Leopards’ 21-18 victory over Danbury there Friday, Oct. 8. Van Vleck running back Cam Austin had a team-high 124 yards rushing on 16 carries with a touchdown. Other rushing touchdowns were made by Payton Brown, and Woodard.

   Tidehaven defeated Rice Consolidated 39-21 in a District 14-3A-2 away game last Friday, Oct. 8.    Tidehaven (3-2, 1-0) will follow that with another road trip, this time to Wallis to play Brazos (1-5, 0-1) this Friday, Oct. 15.

   Bay City fell to Brazosport 49-15 last Friday night, Oct. 8, but the Blackcats will need to rebound quickly with an away game against Columbia this Friday, Oct. 15.    Bay City (2-3, 0-1) will face a Columbia (4-1, 1-0) that dispatched Needville last week 56-35, in another District 12-4A-1 game.

   Bay City begins District 12-4A-1 play this week by traveling to Brazosport Friday night, Oct. 8.    “Nothing like starting district where everyone starts 0-0,” said Blackcat Head Coach Robert Jones.      “We have to be ready to go Friday and execute in all three phases of the game,” he added.
