   The Palacios Volunteer Fire Department, Palacios Police Department, Palacios Fire Marshal, and Midfield Volunteer Fire Department were sent to a house fire at 808 Rorem Ave, Palacios at about 3:26 a.m. Monday, July 1.

   A five-person panel fielded audience questions during the Texas Water Development Board’s “Regional Financial Assistance Workshop” event last week.  The Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture sponsored the Thursday workshop and luncheon.

Abel is credited with bringing large numbers of Brahman Cattle to Texas, while Jonathan developed the town of Blessing into a prosperous community.
