Courtroom closed for repairs

   Matagorda County issued a June 1 update on the continued temporary closure of the 130th District Courtroom in the County Courthouse.   The closure has allowed for HVAC repairs, environmental mitigation, and restoration work necessary to maintain a safe and functional facility.

   Bay City High School graduated 241 students during its commencement ceremony at Memorial Stadium May 22.  Jaxson Klepac and Ramiro Castellano provided words of welcome and introduction of guests; respectively.

   There were four alternatives presented at the Bay City Relief Route Feasibility Study Thursday, May 21.  Turnout was steady at the public meeting with alternate routes presented on easels showing maps, charts and narratives that will help guide the study.
From Matagorda County Soil and Water Conservation District Sneary Cattle Company was honored with First Place in the Conservation Rancher category. They were recognized at the Area 3 Conservation Awards Banquet on May 6, in George West. Sneary Cattle Company is Loy and Helen Sneary and their children - Adam and wife Alycia, and Shannon and husband Jim.
