   In the land of award shows, winners take center stage to accept their awards and acknowledge those individuals who played an essential part in their journey to the winner’s circle.

   This summer is another one of those history markers that come along.  Specifically, my classmates are planning an event that doesn't pivot on the five- and 10-year intervals that class reunions typically follow.  No, this year my classmates and I are turning 75.

   My sister came for a visit last weekend and it was nice to have some quality time with her for the first time in months.  Our days were filled with errands, lending a hand around the house, tending to the pets and generally spending late evenings watching a variety of movies.

   Now that was quite the weekend that I doubt anyone saw coming.  Speculation was rampant as to the consequences.  Oil was quickly projected to significantly climb.  What in fact happened was just the opposite.  Oil moved up a bit and then back while gold and Bitcoin dropped in value.
