   Van Vleck – The Van Vleck Leopards had their best complete game of the season by controlling both sides of the ball in a convincing 35-21 district win over the Brazos Cougars last Friday night.    With the win, Van Vleck goes to 2-3 (1-0 in District), while Brazos drops to 4-1 (0-1 in District).

   Van Vleck – The Van Vleck Leopards entertained their homecoming crowd with a strong ground game and a stingy defense en-route to a 48-7 thumping of the St. John’s Lions last Friday night, Sept. 15.    The Leopards jumped on the scoreboard late in the first quarter, going 70 yards in only 6 plays.

   Bay City overcame two miscues to crush Worthing 42-14, as the Blackcats had 553 total yards of offense, at Memorial Stadium Friday night, Sept. 8.    Two Bay City fumble returns for touchdowns represented all of Worthing’s scoring, as the Blackcat defense held the Colts to 69 yards of offense.
