   If you’re looking for something to do this weekend for Mother’s Day, check out these events Saturday and Sunday in Bay City.  The Friends of the Bay City Library hosts its annual “Mother’s Day Tea Party,” starting at 10:30 a.m.

   Almost 30 people got their basic introduction to beekeeping last week.  Bee Love TX owner Cheryl Wilson led the Matagorda County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office’s “Beekeeping 101” April 30 workshop.  Wilson explained the basic tools and equipment needed to start beekeeping in one’s backyard.
