"Tidehaven to graduate 60" by: Jessica Shepard

   A total of 60 students will graduate from Tidehaven High School starting at 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Delvin Taska Memorial Stadium.    Students are estimated to have earned $300,000 in various scholarships to pursue their continuing education.

   Port of Bay City Authority board members unanimously agreed to share the costs evenly of dredging Caney Creek at the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway with Drainage District No. 1 at the board’s meeting May 11.    The board budgeted the work at $1.

   Probate Court Judge Polly Spencer ruled on the confidentiality of the contract to sell the Luther Hotel between the Rachal Foundation and the Estate of the late hotel owner Jack Findley’s heirs, over the estate attorneys’ objections.

   City Finance Director Scotty Jones told City Council that other options on windstorm insurance for the city are being explored at council’s regular meeting May 9.    Bidding on the insurance is 30 days out, Jones told council and “there have been lots of increases during the year.

"Tidehaven trustees OK ’24 band trip" by: Jessica Shepard

   Tidehaven ISD board members unanimously approved next year’s band trip during their regular meeting, Monday, May 8.    Trustees present included Eric Kacer, Stephen Crow, Marty Crain, and Cody Frick, while members Stuart Lynn, Mike Galvan, and Mike Pierce were absent.
