Cagle to headline Summer Concert

   Country Music Artist Chris Cagle will headline the 21st Annual Bay City Rotary Club Summer Concert Aug. 20 at Bay City Civic Center.    Rotary Club President Jessica Russell announced Cagle for the concert at the club’s Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture mixer Thursday, July 21.

Matagorda accident kills 1, injures 4

   A longtime Matagorda County Baptist preacher was killed and four people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road (CR) 259 and Texas 60 in Matagorda Sunday, July 17, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported.
