Charles Baker named Cattleman of Year by Cattlemen’s Association

   The Matagorda County Fair and Livestock Association’s Home Economics Food Show auction raised $14,700 for local students, Saturday, Feb. 26.     That number is an increase of $1,200 from last year’s $13,500.

Bayridge Park closes for playground installation

   Bayridge Park will be closed from March 21st – April 1st to install the new playground.      This new playground will include slides, climbing area and much more.      The park entrance is located at 1221 Bay Ridge Boulevard and is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
