Person who jumped fence on VVISD property in custody

   Following a pursuit and police chase from Texas 35 last week, Van Vleck ISD was placed in a Secure Hold districtwide, according to Superintendent Christie Dement.  The elementary was surrounded by officers and the district’s safety team.

UH-Victoria renamed Texas A&M-Victoria

With overwhelming bipartisan, near-unanimous support, the Texas Legislature has passed Senate Bill 2361 (SB 2361), legislation that officially transfers the University of Houston – Victoria (UH-V) to the Texas A&M University System, renaming the institution Texas A&M –Victoria.
