Bay City HS Cross Country Regionals Results

 This has been a great season with many successes and many achievements.   Anthony Baltazar advanced to the State XC Meet and will run Nov. 1  in Round Rock,at 10:a.m.  Congratulations and a job well done to all Bay City ISD athletes!

   Bay City throttled a determined La Vernia team by a convincing score of 40-21 there last Friday.  The Blackcats now share the top spot in District 15-4A-1 with the team that’s coming to town Friday, the El Campo Ricebirds.

Van Vleck, Texas A&M great passes away

   A larger-than-life figure in Aggie football lore, George Woodard has passed away in Arlington, Texas, according to his family. Born Sept. 11, 1955, Woodard was 69.

Leopards, Tidehaven face off Friday in rivalry matchup

   This week features the cross-county rivalry game between the Tidehaven Tigers and Van Vleck Leopards.   Tidehaven (4-2, 2-0) had an off-week, while Van Vleck (3-4, 1-2) lost to Industrial last Friday 35-21.Tidehaven is No. 2 in District 14-3A-2, behind first-place East Bernard (7- 0, 3-0).

"Tiger 7th graders defeat Industrial" by Eddie Russell

The Tigers’ seventh-graders hosted Industrial and won 38-16.   DJ Foster had 3 tds (65 yd run, 71 yd punt, 17 yard reception), while  RJ Galvan hads 2 td runs (65, 15).    Scoring 2 pt conversions were Aiden Ibarra, Kooper Russell and Mason Byars.
